Use Search Engine Marketing Companies to Promote Your Business

I've spent a lot of time, money, and effort setting up my web store. I hired a professional website designer to make the site attractive to visitors and easy to navigate, I purchased top-of-the-line shopping cart software to make the checkout process as seamless and foolproof as possible, and I paid a freelance copywriter to come up with colorful, accurate descriptions of all my products. In short, I thought I had all the bases covered and that customers would start pouring in immediately. But that hasn't happened yet, which is a bit worrisome. That's why I'm talking with a few search engine marketing companies right now.

I did all the right things to get my online store ready, but I neglected a critical point. How are customers going to find my site? I could try various advertising campaigns and promotions. These can be highly effective in getting my brand out there to potential buyers. But the drawback with advertising is that the results only come in as long as money is going out. If stop paying for campaigns, I won't get any more customers. This is where search engine marketing companies show their value.

Search engine marketing companies employ a variety of tried and true techniques designed to vault your website to the top of the results pages in Google, Yahoo, MSN, and similar sites. They do this by evaluating your website, along with the products or services you offer, and then coming up with a list of keyword phrases that best fit your site. After that, the search engine marketing companies start promoting your site in specific ways, such as creating content full of keywords from the list and establishing good backlinks from related websites. These techniques, along with many others, can help my store move up in the SERPs, which in turn should drive lots of traffic my way. Best of all, this will be high-quality traffic, since most of the visitors will arrive because of the relevant keywords they searched for.

As I said, I've been talking with a few different search engine marketing companies recently. Before I select a single firm to work with, I'm going to compare each one on some important points, including price, strategy, follow-up services, past performance, and results guarantees. The kind of SEO package I'm interested in purchasing is quite expensive, so I want to be sure that I'll be getting my money's worth from the deal.

From what I've learned, search engine marketing companies can't be expected to work miracles overnight. But given time, their keyword optimization methods can yield outstanding results in the form of quality visitors who are genuinely interested in purchasing something from my store. Best of all, the effects of SEO campaigns last long after I stop paying for the services, making this a more cost-effective marketing option than traditional advertising.

Legitimate Ways to Work Online and Make Money from Home

Although I really enjoy my job, I'm preparing to hand in my letter of resignation. There are several reasons for this, but the biggest and most important one is that I want to spend more time with my kids. They're still young (not even in preschool yet), but I already feel as though I'm missing out on everything when I drop them off at daycare every morning, so I want to put my career on hold for a while. The problem is we can't afford to lose my entire salary, which is why I'm looking for ways to work online and make money before I quit.

I know a couple of people lucky enough to earn their living from Internet-based business ventures. They run web stores and sell stuff on eBay, which is great for them, but not something I'm interested in. I need a regular paycheck that I can count on, so I'm not going to get into anything that depends on sales or commissions. Instead, I'm out to find real businesses and companies that allow employees to work online and make money that way. Telecommuting is huge these days, meaning I'll hopefully be able to land a good position soon.

It would be easier to work online and make money from home if I had computer programming skills, as I've seen a lot of those kinds of jobs advertised, but there's no way I can do anything like that, and I simply don't have time to take classes and learn. Fortunately, there are other computer-related jobs that I can probably pick up with just a bit of training, such as data entry, medical billing, medical transcription, and bookkeeping. I've seen numerous advertisements for these types of jobs, and some even say that no experience is necessary. I'm going to send my resume out to a couple of these companies over the weekend.

Teaching is another way that I can work online and make money. Many colleges and universities now offer non-credit classes on the Internet, and they need experts in all kinds of fields to either develop whole courses from scratch or teach existing ones. Since these are non-credit offerings, no real teaching certification is required. Candidates just have to demonstrate computer proficiency, excellent writing skills, and expertise in a certain field. I've seen calls for people to teach everything from grant writing to photography, foreign languages, parenting and childcare, GED test preparation, and more.

These options are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to legitimate ways to work online and make money. For example, I've also seen telecommuting positions available in areas like customer service, high school and college tutoring, and virtual personal assistants, so I'm confident I'll be able to find something soon. Thanks to this initial research, I'm very excited about the prospect of being able to earn a good salary while still being at home for my kids!

Mobile Advertising

Have you ever received an advertisement on your mobile? I’m serious. This is the latest channel of communication being used by advertisers to get your attention. Let’s face it. The very nature of the mobile phone lends itself to being an excellent and engaging medium. For one thing, mobile advertising can reach you wherever you are, as you always carry your phone. For another, mobile advertising that reaches you on your phone can call out to you and gain your attention by allowing you to act on the message almost immediately. And finally, there is just too much clutter out there in regular advertising channels that mobile advertising has all but become a compulsion. Or as the old adage goes, a necessity that has resulted in an invention.

Some of the most reputed names in the advertising and client industries are going the mobile advertising way. And mobile advertising is not just your regular advertising that is delivered through the mobile medium. It has developed into a fine art by itself. In the early days, mobile advertising was little more than SMS messages masquerading as advertising. But nowadays, the medium itself has evolved to give us superior communication that not just impresses, but compels as well.

To take a case in point, gone are the days when mobile advertising spoke about the need to stay connected. In any kind of advertising, the first phase is usually meant to set the stage. In a manner of speaking, it is meant to educate the target audience about the usage of a new product. This was the case with mobile advertising in the past. When mobile advertising initially surfaced, the target audiences needed to be educated on their impact and what could be done with the message. For instance, could the user call a number tagged to the mobile advertising message? Could they visit a web site? Could they display the SMS or MMS to gain discounts at certain venues? These details needed to be explained. But of late, the commonality of mobile advertising has ensured that a new generation is well aware of the grammar of mobile advertising.

This enables advertisers to come up with newer and better mobile advertising campaigns, that push the envelope, in a manner of speaking. This is where customer expectation management becomes a critical purpose of mobile advertising. As mobile advertising has improved, the expectation of customers too have increased. And the day is not far when savvy customers themselves will define the future course of mobile advertising.

Keyword Advertising for Effective Marketing

Keyword advertising has become a major catchphrase for advertisers. Yahoo! is said to have pioneered it. Google’s AdWords program is one of the most popular types of keyword advertising. The marketer links the advertising or web content to certain keywords; this triggers the search engines to pull up the web pages and advertisements while searching for the linked keywords.

When the user searches for a specific keyword, relevant ads would appear on the designated banner space. Search engines usually employ a pay per click method for claiming their revenue. If the user clicks on the link and lands on the page, the search engine gets the bid payment. The bid amount varies and is determined by the advertiser based on some basic guidelines. The bid is placed to secure a prominent place in the list of advertisements that get displayed.

The success of keyword advertising is in identifying the exact words that people would search for. The keyword should differentiate one organization among its peers. Not all words can be used as keywords. If it is a very common word, say ‘car’, the competition would be too high to target the right customers. Such generic words are synonymous to industries. Be more specific in your keyword advertising. Make the exact product or service to be your keyword. Instead of just saying ‘car’, try something like ‘cheap car deals’, or ‘best car deals’. The goal is to increase the visibility of your web page to the right set of potential customers.

The better optimized the pages are, more will be the traffic to your site. Rather than wasting your resources for unlikely customers, the right keywords would generate targeted ads and take you to the exact customers you were looking for. This technique helps build the brand as only the relevant seekers are exposed to the information leaving out the random and uninterested customers. Each keyword ad should have a landing page that must have the relevant content to sustain the interest. The ad is only a platform to get customers to your web page; it is the responsibility of the landing page to make business revenue.

There are numerous firms that offer keyword advertising services. It costs far less than the traditional advertising efforts and brings in more return on investment. Such professional firms will have the competency and experience on formulating keyword ads and search engine optimization. They will be able to provide consultation on and even write the ads for you.

Internet Marketing Course for Beginners

I always hear stories about people that strike it rich through one online venture or another. I don't mean the big boys here, though I'm sure we would all love to come up with the next hot web property like YouTube, Facebook, or Twitter. Instead, I'm just talking about regular folks like you and me who have been able to create a profitable online business through more traditional methods. In other words, they have a good product to sell, they get the word out about their product, they enjoy some positive buzz from satisfied customers, and they watch sales volume go through the roof. Sounds simple enough, right? But there's a lot of room for error here, so I recommend taking an Internet marketing course for guidance.

Obviously, if you're already raking in five figures per month from your online income streams, then there's no reason for you to take an Internet marketing course. These courses are geared towards beginners who need that push to get them going in the right direction, so the classes usually just cover the basics. Still, there's great demand for this type of entry-level Internet marketing course, and consequently, a lot of courses to choose from.

Most classes assume that you already have your key product or service idea in place and just need help with promotion and advertising. The class content reflects this, and won't cover anything having to do with the invention, design, or production of merchandise. Instead, the Internet marketing course you take will likely focus on website creation, search engine optimization strategies, advertising campaigns, and pay-per-click ad programs such as Google AdWords. Sure, you could learn all of this stuff on your own without taking an Internet marketing course, but you'd have to sift through mounds of information to get to relevant items. Why not just let an expert guide you along the right path?

Many people actually offer a free Internet marketing course that could be of some value to the greenest newcomers, but you can't expect these to go in-depth at all. If you want a more detailed explanation of how to promote your products and services to the masses, how to organize e-mail advertising blitzes, how to initiate positive blog buzz, and how to cash in on your idea, then you'll probably have to pay for an Internet marketing course offered by a true guru in the industry. I hate shelling out money unnecessarily, but sometimes the information offered is too valuable to pass up.

The bottom line here is that you can absolutely learn how to be a decent online entrepreneur simply by spending all day typing queries into Google and reading through all the results. But if you want to be a truly savvy marketer, then taking an Internet marketing course is a good way to start.

What Makes An Internet Business Successful

Do you want to own your own internet business?  Who wouldn’t?  Having your own internet business is a great thing, especially in a world going into the direction that it is as far as technology.  You buy anything you want from the internet, without even having to leave the comfort of your own.  The stores you love offer online services and delivery right to your front door.  Now is the best time to get on board.

With an internet business, you will want to be internet savvy.  If you do not know your way around the internet, it will be hard for you to get your company started.  Yes you can contract a web content provider, but it is necessary for you to have knowledge of the business, and how to run your business without hiring outside help.  It is very key because you are the only one who will truly look out for the best interest of your company.

Finding the right internet business can be a task.  With any business, you will need to research the need of the business, as well as the profit and lost scenario.  You will be completing with other internet business companies, so you have to make sure there is something about your business that will draw in customers that your competition does not have.  Maybe newer versions of the product, a lower cost, or possibly even free shipping.  I am seeing more and more internet business companies going to extending credit, which is a big plus with customers.  Just make sure your business does not go under by people not paying their accounts off, and getting free merchandise you’re stuck with the bill on.

An internet business owner should also make sure when they accept payments, their customers’ information is secure.  You do not want anyone having the ability to hack into your site and get people’s personal credit card numbers, addresses, and other valuable information.  In addition, you want to make sure you have customers set up an account, or go through verification when delivery the merchandise, to make sure the order is not fraud.  Requiring a three digit verification code off of the credit card can help with this.  Or shipping to actual addresses, and not post office boxes.

A successful internet business also needs to have a great reputation.  Make sure you deliver on time, you are constantly stocked on your products, and that you do not cheat the customer.  You only have your reputation in the business world, and people are already hesitant about internet purchases.  So staying dependable and reliable is key to your internet business being a success!

How to Increase Website Traffic

This is one of those "how long IS that piece of string" questions, it's almost mindless in its intent. The purpose behind every-single-website on the planet is how to increase website traffic, to further extend either your product offering's or the services that you provide. Increasing traffic to a specific site is not all that difficult. Frankly, I know of several ways that you can artificially increase traffic (or should I say, "alleged" traffic) to a site for less than $20 per month, and I'll guarantee at least 10,000 hits per month, probably more for that price. This method (no, I'm not going to tell) is great if all you want is to show that your site can get hits, even if the hits are bought, but what if you want to attract buying, targeted traffic?

This is where it gets a little bit sticky, and a lot more costly when done wrong. If your asking how to increase website traffic that matters, the only answer that honest is that you go out and look for people that want your product. Sure, that's not as cut and dried as it may sound, but it is still true. For this service, expect to pay. Especially if you use a listing service, that guarantee's a top listing for you. What they don't usually tell you is that those "guaranteed" listings are what amounts to ad's, not listings for your site. Sure, you'll get the traffic, for a second or two, but does that justify the costs involved??

Your call on that, but there's only one way that will always return customers to you at negligible cost - content. What's on those pages you put sweat and blood into. If your site is 3 years old, frak, if only 3 months old, and still with the same intro page text, your losing out - massively. With fresh content, your pages will continually come up at the head of the search engine results, once you have the correct tags in place to denote the content ('tags' are those single words that are in the body of the posting that will bring the content up when searched for) and if the content is relevant.

Bottom line is that it doesn’t need to cost Earth when it’s down to how to increase website traffic, it just needs good stuff that people want to know about on your pages.

Google Adwords Campaign Basics

Even if you're completely new to the world of Internet marketing, you probably already know that running a Google Adwords campaign is one of the most cost-effective ways of getting your product or service out there for public consumption. How this works is the marketer (that would be you) creates a short text advertisement, and then specifies which keywords should trigger the ads. Then when Internet users type in the keywords on Google's search engine, the ad appears. You only pay when a user clicks on your ad -- and even then, you specify how much you're willing to pay (bearing in mind that your bid factors into the overall ordering of your ad).

Putting together a successful Google Adwords campaign does take a bit of hard work, especially for beginners who haven't yet learned the ropes. Fortunately, since this marketing mechanism has been around for such a long time, there are countless online tutorials, e-books, and other resources to help you navigate the basics. By following the advice of seasoned Internet marketers, you'll be able to put together an effective Google Adwords campaign that will get the results you want.

Speaking of results, that should be your first consideration when setting up your Google Adwords campaign. What kind of specific results are you after? Are you looking for more traffic? Increased sales volume? Longer visits from potential customers? Setting out a few quantifiable objectives at the start will help you focus your ads and yield better conversion rates.

The most important component of a successful Google Adwords campaign is choosing the right keywords for your ad copy. Choosing something too broad (for example, the word "golf" if you run a golf equipment webstore) is unlikely to lead to conversions because the competition will be too stiff. Choosing something specific -- but unrelated -- to your business (such as "golf vacations") will increase your traffic, but won't translate to additional sales because you don't have what the users are looking for.

And finally, in order to have an effective Google Adwords campaign, you must monitor your statistics and tweak any ads that are not performing up to snuff. Stat and data analysis tools can be found in your user panel, plus there are all kinds of third-party software products that can provide you with even more insight about how well your ads are doing and how many click-throughs or visits they're generating. This is definitely not a "set it and forget it" type of venture, so if you don't have time to follow up on your Google Adwords campaign, don't expect miracles.

Getting a Google Adwords campaign up and running does take some strategic planning, but once you get used to the process, it becomes much easier. This is a fantastic, relatively low-cost way to market your brand, so get started now!

Join Free Link Exchange Rings to Boost Traffic

I've just begun setting up various websites with the goal of making money through Google AdSense and other advertising programs. These are low maintenance sites that feature a bunch of informative, keyword-laden PLR articles designed to attract visitors. But since I need as many visitors as possible in order to get higher click-through rates, I'm not going to stop here and hope that my content alone will do the trick. Instead, I'm also going to work on promoting my sites, beginning with some free link exchange rings that will hopefully give my stats a significant boost.

The concept of these free link exchange programs is pretty simple: every time you place someone else's links on your own sites, they'll place yours on theirs, and vice versa. This is a terrific alternative for people who don't have the cash to pay expensive SEO firms to promote their websites, and depending on which program you choose, can really yield excellent results.

There are lots of free link exchange programs out there. From the ones I've already checked out, I've learned a few things about what's likely to make a particular program worthwhile for me. First of all, there shouldn't be any membership or administrative fees at all. That's the whole point of a free link exchange to begin with, right? But some of these programs try to be sneaky by charging assorted fees, while justifying this practice by saying they're not charging for the links themselves. Sorry, but I'm not going to waste my time with those people!

Second, the truly top-notch free link exchange rings allow you to choose what kinds of sites your links will appear on. Even beginners who are completely new to website promotion know that relevant backlinks from similar sites carry far more weight with search engines. In other words, backlinks from a store that sells knitting products aren't going to help my site about acne products, and won't bring me the kind of visitors I want. So just because I join a free link exchange program, that doesn't mean I'm willing to settle for garbage links.

And finally, the best free link exchange programs out there offer some kind of statistical package that allows users to analyze the effectiveness of the exchanges. Just as with any other advertising campaign, it's important to know what's working and what's not so that changes can be made where required. Again, just because I'm not paying for a certain service, that doesn't mean I have to be satisfied with sub-par results.

On the whole, I'm confident that by joining the right free link exchange rings, I'll be able to get the kind of traffic I want for my websites, and turn this whole thing into a successful AdSense venture!

Email newsletters for new age marketing

The possibilities of internet have revolutionized the way we approach marketing. It has introduced innovative ways to reach out to your customers and make a business impact. Email newsletters are one of the most widely adopted marketing tools. They are informative, convenient, and can be extremely targeted as against conventional methods.

The most important feature of email newsletters is their ability to get to the targeted group. If it is not targeted to the right set of recipient, there is an increased probability that your email newsletter will end up in the spam folder. Hardly anybody would like to get unsolicited marketing messages in their inbox. There is a high probability that the users will add unwanted email newsletters to their spam filters than going through the trouble of unsubscribing them for the time being. Email newsletter can also be promoted as an intra-organization marketing tool. It helps in sending pan organization or targeted group announcements or reminders.

Despite the onslaught of spam and other latest entrants in online marketing, email newsletters still work for a variety of reasons. It is possible to get the user’s consent by asking to choose if they like to know about your new products or services at the stage where you are obtaining their initial information. This helps in reaching out to the genuinely interested recipients. A common complaint about email newsletters is that the recipients are being bombarded by the mails too often that they lose interest in opening the mail and seeing what is inside. Time your newsletters in such a way that they arrive neither too late nor too often in the mailbox.

The presentation of the newsletter is the key to grabbing the reader’s attention. The subject line itself should entice the reader into opening the mail and seeing what is inside. The emphasis in the subject should be on catch phrases like discount, clearance sale, new product etc. Thanks to the increased volume of information a typical email account holder has to process, impersonal emails are usually just skimmed through and hardly get a thorough read. The newsletter should avoid flamboyant language and needs to be concise and to the point. It should be aimed at grabbing the user’s attention to the important piece of information. It is a good idea to distinguish the real message in a different color or as a bulleted point. The structure of the page should facilitate easy scanning.

The newsletters should always be timely and meant for immediate utility. Sending relevant information at the right interval is the key. This will prevent the user from identifying it as a spam, even if they don’t find relevant information all the time they get the newsletter. The newsletter should justify the time the reader spends in opening and scanning through the text.

Even if the credentials of email marketing campaigns are established, there has to be a retrospective analysis from time to time. There are numerous sophisticated tools, processes and metrics available that can do a detailed analysis on the effectiveness of email campaigning.  There will always be plenty of room for improvement; with refined campaigning, the results can sometimes improve dramatically. With abundant information and resources available online, adapting email newsletters as effective and inexpensive marketing tool make great business sense.

Where to Submit My Website for Traffic and Indexing

I've been looking for a good way to make money on the Internet. There are lots of ideas out there, but most of them simply aren't for me. I don't have any e-books, products, or services to sell, nor do I want to get into the eBay game and spend all day shipping out packages. Instead, I've decided to try to set up a passive income stream by setting up a good site with strategically placed AdSense advertising blocks and Kontera links. These are two of the highest paying ad programs around, and I think I can do pretty well with them. What I have to do now is submit my website to different search engines and directories.

Some people might wonder why this step is necessary. After all, don't Google, Yahoo, MSN, and the rest automatically scan the entire web for new sites on daily basis? Well, that's a legitimate question, but there are still several good reasons why I should manually submit my website instead of letting the bots come find me. First of all, it can take a very long time for the major search engines to discover a new site. That's because there are millions of them out there, so the work is slow and painstaking. When I submit my website, I'm letting them know that they need to come check out my URL right now, which can pare down the indexing process by a few weeks.

Another reason that I want to submit my website manually is that there are lots of other search engines and directories besides the big three I mentioned above. While it's true that a majority of my traffic will likely come from Google, Yahoo, or MSN, I'm selling myself short if I stop there. I need to make sure my site gets indexed by Ask, AltaVista, HotBot, AOL, Excite, Lycos, Blingo, Dogpile, and a whole lot more so that I'll get a high number of visitors no matter which search engine they prefer.

I'm also going to submit my website to a few popular directories, because these can be another source of quality traffic. These include DMOZ, Best of the Web, Business.com, Yahoo, and Aviva. I might have to actually pay for some of these submissions, but the fees could be offset in the long run by the amount of traffic I get as a result of my listing.

Also, if I don't want to submit my website manually to all these different places, I can pay a service to do it for me. There are several companies out there that can handle these types of submissions on my behalf, leaving me free to tinker on my site a bit more.

I'm pretty excited about getting this new venture off the ground! I'm going to submit my website to all these search engines and directories over the weekend, and once I get indexed, I can site back and watch the visitors pour in. I hope they click ads while they're here!

Legitimate Ways to Earn Money Now

Like most people, I've been strapped for cash recently as I try to outlast this recession. My hours at work have been reduced drastically, leaving me to try to make ends meet on lower take-home pay. I'm already draining my savings account to pay my monthly bills, so I need to find legitimate ways to earn money now. I've tried applying for a part-time job at fast food chains and stores like Wal-Mart and Target, but they get so many inquiries these days that they pretty much told me not to count on an interview. That means my only choice is to check online.

After spending a few days researching ways to earn money now, I think I've got a handle on how it's done. There are a variety of options, but I'm going to focus on the easiest ones for the time being since I'm not really looking for long-term results here. I just want something that will help tide me over until hours at my regular job pick back up.

Anyway, one of the most popular ways to earn money now is by selling items on eBay. To do this, all I need is a free eBay account (which I already have), and some stuff to sell. It can be anything from DVDs that I no longer watch, used books, jewelry, clothes, CDs, or whatever else I think people will buy. This could be a good way to earn money now -- and clear out some of the clutter in my house at the same time!

Another terrific way to earn money now is by taking paid online surveys. This used to be a time-consuming pursuit, but in recent years, a couple of good websites have sprung up to make the process a lot easier. These sites aggregate all the paid survey offers in one central location and serve as an intermediary for payouts. So instead of getting tons of checks for tiny amounts like $3 or $4, I can keep taking surveys until I accumulate $15 or $25 before requesting a check.

And finally, creating a website or blog can also help me earn money now. I can start a website or blog on just about any topic that suits my fancy, such as sports, knitting, stamp collecting, or photography. I can even start a fan page for my favorite celebrity or simply recount the daily happenings in my life. The topic really doesn't matter. Once I get my website or blog up and running, I can then place Google AdSense on the site to make cash whenever a visitor clicks the ads. Or, I can sign up with a paid blogging service and generate extra income by promoting various businesses and services.

I'm encouraged by all these easy ways to earn money now. I can start doing all of these things immediately without spending much up front, and should see results relatively quickly. I doubt that any of the activities I've talked about would be able to sustain my lifestyle without the help of a "real" job, but they should work as short-term aids.

Earn Money Through an Ebook Affiliate Program

I'll be the first to admit that I'm not the least bit creative. I've known this from an early age, and though I've tried to develop my creativity through various artistic and musical pursuits, nothing has ever panned out. I guess I'm just one of those people who can deal more easily with facts and figures than anything abstract.

You could think this lack of creativity would hamper my entrepreneurial prospects, but that hasn't happened thus far -- likely as I am fully aware of my shortcomings and am willing to work around them. In other words, I'm not wasting my time trying to invent the next hot must-have gadget or write the Great American Novel. Instead, I'm happy enough to piggyback on the hard work of others to generate my own income, which is one of the reasons I'm looking to find a good ebook affiliate program to join.

Earning commissions through an ebook affiliate program is easy, provided you have the right product to sell. Most programs do not charge a membership fee, which is great for keeping start-up costs under control. In fact, the affiliates just have to worry about marketing the book and tracking sales -- and cashing the commission checks, of course! Now marketing and selling are two things I happen to be fairly good at, so this is another reason I'm excited about joining an ebook affiliate program.

The only obstacle standing in my way at this point is finding the right ebook affiliate program to latch onto. Some are obviously better than others, with the biggest differences being in the areas of content and commission. I'd be far more comfortable (and successful) pushing a book on a subject I'm already familiar, and I'd be able to generate far more compelling sales pages this way. So I'm going to limit myself to books that discuss ways to gain money online or that offer advice about home-based business sector.

The biggest consideration for most people looking to join an ebook affiliate program is the commission. There are two main ways to go here. First, I can focus on selling a high priced product that offers a huge commission. I'd likely only make a minimum number of sales, but the bigger payouts would still make the effort worthwhile. Or, I could peddle a more reasonably priced product that offers a far smaller commission. If I do this, I'd probably make up for the smaller payout with higher sales volume.

At any rate, I'm sure I'll figure all this stuff out after crunching the numbers a bit. In the end, I just hope whichever ebook affiliate program I choose will be able to provide me with a steady stream of passive income for a long time. That's the real goal here!

Affiliate Programs

Since the internet became a pandemic both in the U.S. and around the world, one of the main objectives of just about anyone on the web has been to try and earn some money from using it. As simple as that may sound, making it work is not all that easy. Last year one industry was said to have had over 13 billion dollars – yup, billion, as in bailout’s – both spent and earned in it.

This is the world of affiliate marketing. For those of you that have been on Mars for a bit, affiliate programs are where you join a program, some free – most not, which provides you either with a digital or material product that you then sell on to other individuals or groups for a profit. That’s it. Basically when you’re an affiliate you become a salesperson for that organization. For the amount of money involved, I’m sure we can all understand why these programs are so attractive for product producers, as it takes the lion’s share of sales, production and distribution costs away from the companies themselves and into the hands of ordinary Joe Plumber’s in the street. Lots can be said to knock these affiliate programs, and yet I know (personally) people who have made fortunes with them. It’s definitely not something for everyone, but if you have a large group of contacts (like MySpace, bebo etc.) socially and you don’t mind being seen to be working in sales, this could be a great way for you to make some extra cash.

The main things to remember with affiliate programs are that they ARE out to sell you on the product. There’s definitely no free lunch when it comes to these programs, but again, if you’re willing to work at it you will see the rewards – probably not for a couple of months, but it will happen.

Main things to be aware of and to avoid with affiliate programs are those that promise to do it all for you. “We supply your leads” “You never have to speak to anyone” “ We do all the selling for you”. Lines like these scream DANGER to me, because if they do it all for me, what the frak do they need me for? As a tax write off when I fail or what? Other than that, there really are some excellent programs out there that do work – look for digital e-books that you can download and set up to sell automatically on online markets such as Amazon and eBay. Make sure you have an address for the company and like any investment, try and get to speak to someone who’s done this already, so you can quiz them on results, timeframe to make money, etc..

Most importantly, have some fun! It can be.

Do Affiliate Marketing Programs Work?

If you’ve spent any time at all on the Internet in the last few years, you’ve heard about affiliate marketing programs. It’s a pretty simple concept that has a lot of attractiveness for a prospective marketer – there’s little to no cost outlay at the beginning of the process, and if the marketing efforts are not successful, the marketer doesn’t pay. But are the tales of huge money from affiliate marketing true, or is this just another Internet bubble? Let’s take a look at how the process works.

Affiliate marketing is a revenue sharing methodology that works exclusively on the Internet. At its base, it involves paying back a small amount of money for customers referred to your product or service. The URL that is provided to the web browser contains a unique affiliate ID, and clicks using that ID are tallied and credited to the affiliate. The concept originated with adult websites in the early 1990s, but it wasn’t long until major online retailers like Amazon.com were using it as well. Most affiliate marketing programs depend on a large number of affiliates to drive traffic.

The great majority of affiliate marketing programs pay on a CPS, or "cost per sale" basis – if the web surfer makes a purchase through an affiliate link, the affiliate gets paid. A smaller number use CPC, or "cost per click" – each clickthrough on an affiliate link pays a (typically much smaller) amount. Due to fraud and other issues, CPC is on the decline. Additionally, many of these programs offer payment options either in cash or credit for the program owner’s business, keeping more of the money in their pockets.

If you are interested in creating an affiliate marketing program for your product or service, there are a few important business concerns to address. Foremost, you should ensure that you occupy a market niche that can support this kind of venture – competing with an existing program for the same product is essentially a fool’s gambit, as their market penetration will make it very difficult for you to build a large enough team of affiliates without offering more competitive financial terms. In addition, the administrative component of an affiliate program can become overwhelming as the program grows – you will be making payments to hundreds if not thousands of individuals, and if they make over $400 you will be required to submit a 1099 form to the IRS for them as well.

Affiliate marketing programs can be a powerful tool for an Internet-savvy small business, but they’re not a short road to fortune. Be aware of their strengths and weaknesses before you invest in developing one.

What is Adwords Marketing?

Adwords marketing is one of Google’s flagship products that grossed over $20 billion in 2008. Adwords marketing is based on the pay-per-click phenomenon which means for each time someone clicks on an Adwords ad, the company receives revenue. Adwords are distributed locally, nationally, as well as internationally. Google Adwords are short in nature, consisting of one or two short lines of text.

Pay-per-click advertising works with Adwords marketing in that an advertiser decides how much they are willing to pay per click and what keywords trigger their ads. For example, an ad will only come up if a user enters “killing mold” as their Google search term.

Placement targeted advertising works differently in that advertisers specify which domain names or search terms to place their ads on. Google then matches the ads to appropriate web pages. With placement advertising one ad can take up the entire block (up to four ads).

Google isn’t the only page the ads are displayed on. Advertisers can have their ads displayed on Google partner networks, including AOL, Ask, and Netscape. Google dominates the advertising market, however; their competition includes Microsoft Corp’s AdCenter and Yahoo’s Search Marketing. Google’s Adwords marketing platform is based on MySQL technology.

A subset of Adwords marketing is Google’s application Adsense. This allows website owners to install Adsense which will display text, image, and video ads to their web sites. They are paid a percentage of what Google makes.

Companies can choose to manage their own Adwords marketing campaigns, or they may hire outside agencies to do this for them.

Adwords marketing is a unique venture and has a high learning curve. The revenue builds over time, and nobody will make $100,000 from Adwords marketing in a single day. It takes time, and it is important to track your results. It is better to have a narrow list of keywords rather than a huge list. Users will be more likely to click on your ads if they are targeted directly to their search.

Adwords marketing is a valuable tool for anyone to invest in. The page in which your clients click on should direct them to a page that contains their search terms – even if it is not part of your company’s website navigation.

There are plenty of resources to help you get your Adwords marketing campaign up and running. Google is your best resource, but be careful as per whom you hire. You will not make a fortune overnight, nor can anyone promise that you will make a living off of Adwords.

Advertising on the Internet

There's really very few places you can go nowadays where you cannot get internet service. Shuttle pilots regularly use it to communicate with people on the ground, perhaps we remember the researcher in Antarctica that used a web stream so she could operate on herself, and of course there's you and all the other people like you wandering around with your iPod streaming this that and the other for you. So whats in it for business?

The major attraction for business's for advertising on the Internet is the cost. Rather the lack of it, per gained market. Broken down this means that a company can readily reach a target market, if it's done right, much quicker and at a lower cost than any other media out there. What companies do to achieve this is nothing short of remarkable, with whole industries now in vogue to simply fill the rapacious desire of all for a quick and profitable return on their ad's. These ad's range from full page, "in your face" pop up or pop under ads, you have tear type ads (those with the peeled corner look to them), simple text links, sponsored links, text embedded links, content as advertising, paid reviews as advertising.. the list seems endless. Which it probably is, because as soon as a new wrinkle in technology comes about, then a new form of advertising on the internet comes into been to utilize it. How many of you have NOT gotten an unsolicited text message about something or other?

As with everything, there's good and bad advertising on the internet, with a slew of best practices and all that they entail to go with them. This just won’t work 100% simply because what one group decides to do, doesn't mean that someone else isn’t going to corrupt it to nefarious means. If that were the case, would I still be getting emails telling me I've won the UK lottery for Europe (that doesn't exist, incidentally) even though I've never entered such a thing?

When done right, using the right demographics and no Black Hat (this is the term used for using not so legal methods for market gain, audience attraction etc. that's looked down on by the majority of the web industries) techniques then advertising on the Internet should be the way for all smart marketers to go, whether for your teen's dog grooming after school business (think local) or that corporate giant struggling (think Palm) it will work for you.

What every website owner needs to know about contextual advertising – it affects your bottom line!

You've probably visited many websites which bombard you with huge, flashy banner ads and other advertising which is only loosely related to the content of the particular page. For example, you might click through to a web page with an article on children's education. The distracting banner, proclaiming you to be the one millionth visitor to that page, offering a prize if you only click and claim it, runs the width of the top of the page. This type of banner ad has no relevance to the information you seek and is probably not legitimate anyway. The blinking and flashing is annoying you, so you scroll down until it's out of your view and read what you came to see. This is a blatant example of what contextual advertising is not.

Good contextual advertising is organized page by page, so that every ad your reader sees relates closely to the content on that page. You know about Google Adsense. When you sign up for this program, Google's spiders go out and examine each page's content and then match up the most relevant ads to place on your page. The latest trend in the big search engines, especially a focus on Google, is to deliver to the user the most relevant content pages when the user conducts a search.

It's most likely that you'll have other ads, such as affiliate links, on your web pages. If every ad on the page is closely related to the content, you'll enjoy a much better ranking with the search engines. You'll certainly beat out a competitor who is running the 'one millionth visitor' banner!

This is why you want to hand pick your ad placements for every single page on your site. Google Adsense picks ads based on algorithm-based programs and does quite a good job. Think how you can zero in on ads with even more refinement, in terms of contextual advertising! For example, your gardening blog has a page which has a detailed article on how to graft roses. Perfect ads that are well qualified as powerful contextual advertising might include a book on grafting roses, or garden tools used for grafting. An ad for more generalized products, such as garden globes or pathway paving stones are not going to engender the same amount of interest. You'll get far less ROI on such ads and suffer in page rankings as well. Moving these ads to a page with content related to garden statuary or decorations is a better move.

Keywords are another important factor in optimizing every page. If your ad links to an affiliate, check out the page title and keywords that affiliate is using. Matching up keywords will also do your site good from the standpoint of relevance.

Well thought out contextual advertising brings more visitors to your sites through better search engine rankings, and you'll enjoy an increase in revenues. Contextual advertising is an art, well worth cultivating and refining to the Nth degree. Relevance and in context are where it's at and it's all within your grasp!

The do's and don'ts of an email advertising campaign strategy

If you've had a website for any length of time, you know that an email advertising campaign is one of the most cost effective advertising methods. However, email advertising strategies require some finesse. Too many website owners us a much too heavy handed approach, which usually results in a greatly reduced ROI, as well as reduced credibility and lots of subscribers canceling. Worst of all, an angry audience may start tagging your emails as spam, before they cancel their subscription. This is not the way to succeed. Here we present some common, but plentifully practiced, email advertising techniques that you should avoid, as well as tips on making your email marketing campaign a winning proposition.

Here's a prime example of what you don't want to do. I once subscribed to a travel writer's newsletter which I ran across in another newsletter's feature article. I clicked through and found a few items of interest, so I signed up for their newsletter. First of all, I soon discovered this website sent a 'newsletter' on almost a daily basis, which was far more than I cared to receive.

Then, I started receiving additional emails from this site, telling a story of how so and so just returned from a trip to Costa Rica, writing a story accompanied by the photos they took on their trip and promptly selling it to a travel magazine. The story was but a couple of paragraphs, which was not especially interesting or informative and a thinly disguised lead-in to the sales pitch that followed. The gist of it was that for a mere $3000, I could attend their next workshop and learn all the tricks of the trade.

After a week or two of perusing the newsletter, it became obvious that they had no information of value. A short editor's note, telling me what she'd been doing that day, was always followed by a long and pushy sales pitch. I canceled. This is the epitome of bad email advertising. Don't take this approach. It's a loser.

Now let's take a look at how to construct an email advertising campaign that does your website traffic and income good. You know the value of an e-newsletter, but as mentioned earlier, the successful email marketing campaign requires finesse. Just as on your website, your newsletter demands quality content. If you don't provide information your readers can use to increase their knowledge, or which is simply entertaining, you're fighting an uphill battle. A single, quality feature article in every issue is a great start to building a loyal readership, some of whom will forward it to a friend, perhaps resulting in a new subscriber and potential customer.

When doing email advertising within a newsletter format, your ads should not comprise more than 10% of the total content. This translates to about 2-3 ads per issue. If you have a particularly outstanding offer, you might put it up front. For example: 'This week I ran across an amazing deal that I wanted to pass on ...' Then tell them why. Use a review style and keep it short and sweet.

If you use the 'special offer' approach, use it judiciously and don't overdo it. It's got to be truly special, time dependent and worthy of sending in a separate email. If the offer doesn't meet this criteria, your credibility will suffer. Readers won't even open these after a while.

One effective email advertising technique is to intersperse ads within freebies and resources at the end of your newsletter. You make this section a regular part of every newsletter, under a title such as 'Freebies, top picks and resources'.

Follow these do's and don'ts of email advertising and see if you're not well rewarded!

Making the Most of Your Classified Ads

When you have something to sell, you may be confused as to how you want to go about it. You can always turn to eBay, but that is not something that everyone wants to do, and is not always the best choice when you have larger items to sell. It is hard to sell a car on eBay without incurring a lot of shipping charges, as well as a lot of inconvenience. For those people and those larger items, you probably want to take advantage of the classified ads that you can place in your local paper both online and off.

When you run classified ads online, be sure they are localized. That means they are only on pages where those in your local community are going to run into them. These are not as common as the ones in your local paper just yet, but they are out there and they are useful. You are going to find classifieds online from your papers as well, but you may have to pay more for the additional online listing. You should talk with someone at your local paper about your classified ads to see what you can get for how much you want to spend.

Some say that classified ads do not work, but that is not the case. The problem that some have with them is that they don’t know how to word them, and no one is interested. This is often because they have no idea if the item would be something that they want. This means the person that has put up the classified ads has not done their job. They may have given vague and even misleading details in the ad. This guarantees that a sale is going to be hard to come by.

To get the most from your classified ads, you have to be as truthful and descriptive as you can be. That means being honest even when you think the details may negate a sale. That is not always the case. Some love a good deal on something that is not quite prefect. They will either take the item as it is, or they may have the tools to fix it up to what it could be. If you hand your classified ads to those next door, and they have no idea what you are selling, you have to start all over again. The best ads mean the quickest sales. It also means you won’t have to run the ads over and over again just to get some interest.

Top five Ways To Generate cheap Website Traffic

There's one hard and fast rule in generating income for your website: A steady flow of website traffic. If no one goes to your web site, it hardly bares a chance of generating an income. Many sites have tried and failed in doing so, and these results to the sites demise. It takes money to maintain an income generating site; it also takes money to make money.

BUT, it doesn’t take a whole caboodle of cash to get website traffic for your site.

Ever wonder how does big hit sites drive traffic top their site? Most of them are spending tons of money to drive the traffic to their sites, investing in many advertising campaigns and different forms of marketing schemes and gimmickries. This is all worthwhile because, well, they are what they are now, high earning, big hitting websites.

You do not have to do this if you don’t really have their resources. There are many ways to generate low cost website traffic without having to spend what you don’t have or can’t afford. Many people have banked on high cost methods and have ended up losing their shirt over it.

Here I present to you the Top five ways to generate low cost website traffic that could help your site a whole lot. Even if you only get a small percentage of successful visitors in to client ratio it still works especially if you get a high number of website traffic.

Exchange Links

This is a certain and proven method. Rarely would you see a site where there's no link to another site. A lot of webmasters are willing to exchange links on each other so that they could produce more public awareness about their sites. You will shortly see and feel the fast upsurge of the traffic coming in to your site from other sites.

A major requirement in exchanging links with other sites is having the same niche or content as the other site. They had better share a common subject so that there is continuity in the providing of service and information to what interests your target traffic.

Exchanging links also boosts your probabilities of getting a high ranking in search engine results. It's common knowledge that search engines ranks high sites that have inbound and outbound theme-related links. With a good ranking position in the search engines, you will generate more traffic in your website without the high costs.

Traffic Exchange

This is like exchanging links but on a different higher level. This may cost a bit more than exchanging or trading links but could be made cheaper because you get to earn credits. You can use those credits when viewing others traffic, while you earn credits when someone views yours.

Traffic exchange services are the viewing of another’s site or page. This is done vice versa where a site can use your sites contents and so can you to his or her site. You both benefit from each others efforts to generate traffic. The other sites visitors can go to your pages and know more about your site as well as theirs. Once again the public awareness of your sites existence is boosted.

Write and Submit Articles

There are many ezines and online encyclopedias in the internet which provides free space for articles to be submitted. If you want to save costs, you can do the articles yourself. There are many freelance writers who are willing to write for you for a small fee, but to save money, it is wise to do those articles yourself.

Write articles that are themed along with the niche of your site. Write something that you have expertise on so that when they read it, they can feel your knowledge about the subject and will be eager to go to your site. Write articles that produce tips and guidelines to the subject or niche your site has.

Include a resource box at the end of your article that can link them to your site. Write a little about yourself and your web site. If you provide a light, information-laden and interesting article, they will go to your site for more.

Make a Newsletter.

This may sound like hard work because of all the articles you may need to use to build a newsletter but on the contrary, this is not so. There are many writers and sites that are willing to provide free articles as long as they can get their name in on your newsletter. This will also provide free advertising for them as well.

As your newsletter gets pass around, you can widen your public awareness and build an opt-in list that can regularly visit your site.

Join Online Communities and Forums

This only requires your time and nothing else. You can share your knowledge and expertise with many online communities as well as your website. You can get free advertising when you go to forums that have the same subject or niche with your site.

Share your two cents and let them see how knowledgeable you are with the subject. As you build your reputation, you also build the reputation of your site, making it a reputable and honest business that could be frequented and trusted by many people.

Applying Google Adwords To Drive Laser Targeted Traffic

The biggest familiar secret in generating wealth in the internet based business or e-commerce is Traffic. Everyone knows it; every site wants it and every site needs it. The point of websites is to be visited and viewed. Many elaborate designs, money and countless hours of developing a site to make them beautiful and attractive are utilized. Without traffic, they are as nothing.

With traffic comes a potential customer which basically means sales which in turn means profit. Although many sites have collapsed in the past with the downturn of many internet based business, many smaller sites have generated good money by concentrating on a certain niche and some subniches.

This is a reason why e-commerce site laser target certain groups of people and drive them to their site to showcase their sites and products. Precision marketing is essential so that you could count on all the traffic on your site as prospective customers.

Using Money to earn Money

It’s a common business notion that if you would like to make money, you have to spend money. One good way of spending money for business gain is through advertising. Advertising brings in the people because through advertising, they know that there is such a company or product in existence. With the right type of advertising, you can see the spurt of traffic growth to your site. With a high volume of traffic, even if only a small portion or percentage turns out to be buying customers it is still a good average of profit generating income.

Right now, there's no other advertising scheme that would be worth every cent than using Google’s Adwords. The surge in popularity of Google’s Adwords is very evident as you can see so many sites sporting this ad scheme.

In using Google's Adwords, you pay a certain fee depending on the number of keywords your ad is keyword sensitive to. Each time a person does a search in Google, the keyword or keywords use generate ads in the side of Google which are generated by the keywords they have assigned for their ads.

This method laser targets the traffic a site wants for their site. This also ensures that you're readily visible in the first page of a search result. Paying Google for this ad scheme ensures that your target group of people sees your ads. You drive your laser targeted traffic to your site which provides for their needs and wants. The 3 Things To Avoid When Emailing Your List

When you choose to have an opt-in list, it isn't just a matter of sending your subscribers your promotional newsletters or catalogs. There are many things to consider in avoiding many complications. While there are so many ways you can make people subscribe to your list, there are also some things you must do to avoid subscribers from wanting to get off from your list.

Aside from that, you also want to avoid any problems with the law and your internet service provider or ISP. There are now a lot of laws and rules that are applied to help protect the privacy of the internet users from spamming and unwanted mails. With the popularity of the e-mail as a medium for marketing because of the low-priced, many company’s have seized the opportunity and have flooded many people’s email accounts with promotional mail.

But, with an opt-in list, you avoid this annoyance because people subscribe to the list; they want to receive the newsletters and promotions. They've consented to being on the list by subscribing themselves, just do not forget to put an unsubscribe feature everytime in your opt-in list so that you avoid any confusion. There may be times when an email account was provided when the real owner didn’t want to subscribe.

It is essential that you keep your list clean and manageable. Arrange it by using the many tools and technologies available for your opt-in list. Don't worry; your investment in this marketing strategy is well worth it with all the coverage you will get which will likely be converted into sales then to profit.

Keep yourself and your business out of trouble and potential run-ins with the law and the internet service providers. Hold your operation legit and clean. Your reputation as a legitimate businessman and a legitimate site depends upon your being a straight and true marketing strategist. As a tip, here are three things to avoid when emailing your list.

1) Take note of your unsuccessful sends. These are the e-mails that bounce. Bounced emails, a.k.a. undeliverable messages, are those messages that, for whatever reason, weren't successfully received by the intended recipient.

There are bounces that happen or occur because the server was busy at that time but can still be delivered in another time. There are also bounces because the inbox of the recipient is full at that time. There are those bounce messages that are simply undeliverable ever. The reason for this is that it may be an invalid email address, a misspelled email address, or an email address that was abandoned and deleted already.

Manage your list by putting markings on those that bounce. Delete an email account from your list so that you've an accurate statistics and records as to how many are actually receiving your mail. You may also want to check the spellings of your email addresses in your list. One most common mistake is when an N instead of an M is placed in the .com area.

2) Always put up an unsubscribe feature in your site and an unsubscribe link in your mails. When someone in your list files a request to be unsubscribed, always take that request seriously. If you do not take them off your list and keep sending them your e-mails, you're now sending them spam mail.

When you are reported as a spammer, you and your business can become into a lot of trouble. You are able to be reported to the authorities and possibly blacklisted by many internet service providers. You will lose a lot of subscribers this way and more in potential subscribers.

3) Do not provide pornographic or shocking and disturbing content in your newsletters. It is hard to decipher the age of the recipient and many complaints might stem from these. Controversial issues also are to be avoided to not be branded by your subscribers. Stick to the nature of your site and business.

Always remember these tips in this article so that you can have a healthy relationship with your subscribers as well as be kept within the boundaries of what is allowed in sending mails to an opt-in list.

Since autoresponder services usually are set up to send automatic responses to the people on the list at certain intervals after they sign up, setting up an autoresponder to send out an ezine can be a little confusing.

Depending on the service or autoresponder that you are using, you will need a 'broadcast' feature. The broadcast feature works essentially the same as the autoresponse feature, with one big difference. The messages are not sent out at intervals.

Broadcast messages are 'one time' messages that are only sent to your current mailing list. People who sign up for your list after the broadcast has been sent do not receive it, unless the specifically request it with an autoresponder address, which you must set up.

Using the broadcast feature of most autoresponder services, you can simply go and either type your newsletter, or copy and paste it into the editor, then choose to send the broadcast to your entire mailing list. More advanced autoresponder services will usually have broadcasting features.

Using an autoresponder to maintain a mailing list and to distribute a newsletter is a wonderful idea. Your subscribers can easily opt-in, or opt-out, and all of the distribution is handled for you, based on the schedule that you set.

List maintenance can become very difficult without the automation that autoresponders provide. You can write each issue of your ezine or newsletter well in advance, and have it delivered to your mailing list, no matter where you are or what you are doing. That is the beauty of automation!

Since all past broadcast and autoresponse messages are saved, you can easily refer back to old issues, or allow people to request past issues. You can also use the tracking feature throughout each issue of the newsletter to determine how many clicks you are getting for the various products or websites that you promote in your ezine.

If you have not yet purchased an autoresponder or signed up with any autoresponder service, make sure that you inquire about the broadcast feature first. Not all autoresponders or autoresponder services have this feature, and as your marketing progresses, you will find that this is one of the most useful features of the service or program.

Effectively Using Overture/Yahoo To Get Website Visitors

Overture or now known as Yahoo because of Yahoo’s takeover, was the original inventor of the use of the P4P or Pay for Performance. Overture saw that the internet was fast becoming the easiest and most convenient way to shop, and advertising was going to hit at an incomparable high because of the many businesses in the arena.

To get a person to go to a site than others, it needs to be very visible. Providing ads that could direct potential consumers and costumers to their site would allow them to have an increase in traffic as well as sales. Yahoo provides a service that could put a site or company’s advertisement in their sites that can be shown when certain keywords are inputted.

Yahoo offers a chance for any company to increase their traffic by using their services. With more people being aware of your site, there would be numerous traffic and visitors to your site given the chance to view your pages as well as your products. With even a small percentage of productive sales, with a high traffic volume this could still be a substantial figure for your company.

Acquiring a consistent substantial flow of website visitors is every company’s goal. Numerous methods are devised and utilized to guarantee that there would be more people to supercharge the sales and to be aware of the existence of such a product or service. Website visitors are potentially the life blood of your online based business.

Yahoo/Overture utilizes the same principle as Google’s Adwords. As a matter of fact, they're really similar to each other that they use keyword and keyword phrase searches and to determine which ads to show per search. When a person types in a keyword or keyword phrase to search for anything, the search engines gives out the results in a page. Then at the right side of the page, you'll see selected ads that have paid for their ads to be viewed with certain keywords and keyword phrases searched.

For instance, lets say you run a auto parts retail/wholesale web site. You select keywords that could prompt or trigger your ads to be displayed in the page when a keyword is searched. When a SE user types in Honda Accord, your advertisement might come up if you've designated that as among your keywords. You do not need to fully optimize your site with SEO methods and formulas.

While some labor so hard to make their web site one of the high ranking sites per keyword search, you get the chance to get on the top of the list or at least in the 1st page of a search result increasing your chance to be clicked on. With that, you drive traffic and site visitors to your site a lot faster.

You'll have to pony up a few cash when using this service though. There are different ways Yahoo/Overture will charge you. It might be in the number of Keywords or Keyword phrases your ad uses or in the a lot of times your ad is clicked on. Others offer numerous other services like having your ad show not only in the SE pages but also on some third party sites.

Third party sites support advertisements that have the same theme or niche as them. On many areas your ad is shown, you increase the chances of people knowing about your web site or product. With a lot of site visitors you gain the sales of your site which makes your investment with your ads a wise one.

With so many competitions in the web based businesses, it is essential to take a big leap forward from the pack by advertising. Yahoo/Overture will be a great place to begin. Many have utilised their services and have reaped the rewards of this decision. It has a marketing strategy that will increase your website visitors as well as increase your sales resulting to turn a profit.

It takes money to make money, while there are some formulas that are basically affordable or free, using a marketing service such as what Yahoo/Overture offers will provide results faster and on a larger scale. Many businesses have learned this the hard way, don’t be counted with them.

Cash and PPC Affiliate Programs

Billions are paying to get a ride on the Information Super Highway day-after-day. Nowadays, it is widely known that the Internet is an accessible resource of a lot of income-generating activities. Whether you belong to a private sales company or you're just interested in internet marketing, PPC affiliate programs can be a mighty venue to make money from the Net. A partnership with an affiliate merchant is a win-win situation for the merchant and the affiliate: sales are soaring because of exposure and traffic while the affiliate is earning good cash.

To make things much simpler: the affiliate merchant provides a strip of advertisement and pays you when someone clicks on the ad’s link. You can get a commission of $0.10 to $0.30 for every click, but it sometimes it can go higher dependant on your merchant affiliate. Occasionally, merchants require a quota ($1.4 for every 1000 clicks). Plus, you can get discounts from your merchant affiliates if you happen to like their products too. You can just kick back and relax while your website is returning cash. Sounds easy, doesn't it?

What is PCC Affiliate Program?

PPC means pay-per-click, wherein you enter partnership with an affiliate company that literally pays you for every click. There are actually two types of PCC affiliate programs – those who pay a commission based on the number of clicks and the other based on the sales. The pay-per-click scheme is much more popular than pay-per-lead because the affiliate gets paid by just clicking the ad, regardless of whether the visitor buys from the affiliate merchant or not. Plus the chances of a visitor purchasing something from the affiliate merchant are not really that high.

In choosing an affiliate program, read the fine print carefully – some pay-per-click programs get the ratio of the number of people who went to your site and the actual people who clicked on the ad. If you've a heavily targeted website, this can harm your earnings.

How do I start?

Naturally, you need to have a website. Depending on your target audience, choose the best affiliate merchant that is most related to your topic. For instance, your website is about Carpentry then you are able to search for affiliate programs that sell tools used in carpentry.

Even so, if you do not have a website, that is not a problem. You can put up a content site about absolutely anything under the sun like ‘Taking Care of Dogs’ or ‘Decorating your own Home.’ But wait, its not over yet. We are faced by a dilemma – on how to increase traffic! You first need to get internet surfers to see your website, then the advertisement.

How do I increase my traffic?

First, design your website in such a way that it will attract internet users. An easy site is always recommended so that the customers will know which one to click. Take into consideration the look and feel of the advertisement. If it does not look professional, most likely, users will just neglect it. Place the ad on a strategic location – one where users can see it clearly. Visibility of the ad is always important.

Some other way is to post a link to your website in forums, web communities, ezine articles or discussion board*. Still, this method requires many effort – that defeats your purpose of getting easy money in the beginning! The key is to do something once and forget about it. It’s like putting your business on autopilot. To maintain you PPC business, be sure to track down site activity, so you are updated on how much money you're making.

Can I create more money?

If you believe you can go to the next level, you can try a two-tier affiliate program. This gives you the power to recruit affiliates. Other than the money you get from your website’s clicks, you will also get a percentage of what your affiliate generates. A lot of companies give 30% to a high 50% commission on all referral sales.

Remember, you should be able to manage and monitor your affiliate program. If you are able to recruit more affiliates, so you can get paid more without even moving a finger! Decide affiliates that can most potential attract more internet users and bring more traffic. You only have to recognise the right people.

5 Reasons Why Blogging is the brand-new Internet Marketing Tool

Blogging is a concept that began in late nineties. It used to be a way to comment an existing webpage, an opportunity for visitors and readers to react or voice out one’s opinion on the said page. What started as a single-sentence commentary has evolved into pages of personal take on just about anything and everything under the sun. As it continues to move forward, online advertising has tapped into the blog’s potential. Here are five reasons why you should use blogging as an Internet marketing tool.

1.Blogging is simple. The easiest way to get your piece on the net is through blogging. No skills are necessary… an average adult can read and type, or at least click a mouse. It is like having a virtual sheet of paper and you just write your ideas, experiences, fresh products, and hope that the fact behind your articles appears and lure your reader to also try your product. If you have a PC and an Internet connection (who doesn’t?) then you can blog and advertise.

2. Blogging is authentic. In this day and age where advertising saturate our lives, we question the credibility of promoters’ claims. Even so, in blogs, real people share their real world experiences, unhurt by paid advertising. Reading blogs about first-hand product use is like speech people about their first-hand experience. You unquestionably would like to buy a tried and tested product.

3. Blogging is free. Since blogging is yet to be proven as a mainstream online advertising media, most sites see it as something to augment current marketing tools and thus offer it for free. Any opportunity for free webtime is definitely a bonus especially to businesses that are starting. Unnecessary to say, paid blog pages can generate a lot of revenue for your seriously growing business.

4. Blogging builds credibility. Because you get progressively into writing your experiences on a particular product or industry, your readers come to realize that they can depend upon your posts for their own information needs. As such, you become an expert on that; as a consequence, more readers visit your site and more bloggers link to your blogs. As companies and professional organisation* notice the growth of your readership base, they may soon connect with you for advertising on your blog page, or make you an affiliate, which pays for every referral generated from your blog site.

5. Blogging builds your market. Unless you are a Hollywood star, chances are, only your Mom reads your posts. Mom has a lot of friends, so she lets her friends know how interesting your blog site is. But you need not depend upon Mom to increase your readership base. Check into the following ways to build your market by blogging:

-By using your e-mail. Today, blogging is overtaking the e-mails popularity in quickly and effectively reaching and expanding a market. In this age of speed and quick access, logging in and downloading e-mail is simply taking longer than clicking into a blog site. Let them explore your site by using a short e-mail message as teaser to your blog site. If your e-mail is on an entirely a different subject, use your e-mail signature to give a link to the site.

-By using subscription. An easy way to get your readers e-mail is to give them an opportunity to subscribe to your blogsite. Keep some exclusive information for your subscribers to lure readers to subscribe and give their e-mail address. Just be responsible in using their e-mail address, because the last thing you want is a comment on your blog that you're a spammer.

-By understanding your readers. Conduct a simple survey for your readers to understand their profile and advertising preferences. Ask consumers to give you feedback on a post, an ad link, or a trial that you shared. In that way, it's like interviewing your readers without the commitment and intrusion of a personal interview.

-By joining a blog network –A network of blogs perhaps a collection of blog sites that share the same industry, interest, readership base, payment mode, etc. Consumers find credibility and convenience in clicking one link to several real bloggers about a single subject. Distinctly, more bloggers are better than one.

-By using RSS. RSS is the fastest growing technology on the Internet today. Intrinsically, having RSS feeds to your blog is definitely a different means of generating awareness for your readership base. Having a variety of feeds can add interest to your blog site.

Give your business a supercharge by effectively using blogging as an Internet marketing tool.

How To Get Your Subscribers Begging For More

Just as an experiment, a friend of mine subscribe ten different opt-in email marketing lists to check which ones are effective. Numerous websites and internet businesses have resorted to sending promotional materials to people who have subscribed to them in an effort to supercharge their sales or traffic. Opt-in email marketing sends newsletters, catalogs updates and more promotions to site visitors who have agreed to be updated whether monthly, weekly or biyearly.

By e-mail, an internet user that is on the list will receive their updates through email. If a promotional material offends their interest they'll go to the site to learn more or to purchase instantly. For the website operators or owners, this is a chance to remind their list of their existence and parlor their product. With the numerous sites in the internet that offers the same products or services in one way or the other, the competition can get pretty tight and it is easy to be forgotten.

Back to my experimenting friend, he tried to discover which opt-in marketing schemes caught a person into begging for fewer would send in very simple fashion, some would very unconventional while there are some that would just consist between. The differences dismissed have gotten the idea of an effective opt-in marketing strategy. He dubbed them effective because he felt like he just could not wait to go their site and learn more, the more convincing ones even got him halfway to reaching for his wallet and to his credit card before he realized this was only for an experiment.

A lot of companies and site present their promotional materials in a wide sort of concepts. Each has their own distinctive style and designs, but more than the outline and the presentation, the content and the articles are what keeps the attention of your potential customer locked on to your opt-in marketing medium. Creativity is the key here.

By talking to numerous satisfied opt-in list subscribers and forums, I've learned of what is necessary in opt-in marketing and what makes the subscribers begging for more besides lining up to unsubscribe.

Keep your promotional materials light, creative and fresh. A lot of people are stressed out as it is. Getting a stuffy business proposal rather than a light hearted e-mail may just agitate them more. A warm friendly smile or banter is always more welcome than a serious business meeting or proposal. While you do want your customers to take you and your products and services seriously, you also want to show them that you know how to have fun.

Splash some color in your emails as well as provide some photos and articles that can be related to you but show good news or good cheerful images as well. Provide a newsletter or promotional materials that will keep them in a light mood. Make your materials attention-getting and grabbing that they wont be able to take their eyes of them. Pique their interests.

Have good content and article, even if it means investing in an experienced and professional copy writer to write them for you. An effective copy writer should be able to build trust between you and your customers. They should be able to establish your credibility in what they write. It must be informative but not too conventional. Let go of the professional jargons and “talk“to your recipients.

An effective article and content should be able to outline the benefits of your product and services and why they need what you are offering. But do not look to be overeager and too persuasive. It should be able to entertain as well as lead them to buying from you.

Your promotional materials should be clear. Do not leave people guessing. You should lead them to you and not vice versa. Explain to them what they need to do in a manner that won’t be confusing. Try to anticipate also what your target client needs. Do your research and information gathering, many sites will be able to help you with that.

Provide clear and crisp images of what you are offering. If the people know what you've for them, they are more likely to beg for more. For instance, if you are selling a car, provide them photos but only enough to encourage them to go to your site for more.

Using Your Autoresponder to Generate Leads

Autoresponders are one of the most important marketing tools that you can have if you are doing business online. In fact, the only thing more important that the autoresponder is your opt-in list! But all autoresponders start out without a list - the list doesn't exist until your autoresponder mailing list starts filling up with names and email addresses!

The easiest and fastest way to build up an email list is to give things away for free. You simply pay for advertisement to promote your freebie. Don't think of this as lost money, think of it as an investment in future earnings.

Give away an ezine, free reports, free ebooks, free access to private websites, or anything else that you can think of. The object is to get people to sign up to receive that freebie, and to agree to receive email from you in the future! It is a win-win situation for everyone, but you get more than anyone else in the deal. The person gets a freebie. You get their name and email address, and permission to email them in the future.

Even if it just has affiliate links for products or services that are related to the topic of the freebie, it is a way to generate extra revenue. Then, when you send email in the future, you can again promote your products or services. Just be sure to include valuable information in the email as well, or you will have people dropping off of your autoresponder mailing list like flies!

Using every opportunity that is presented to you in the world of Internet Marketing is vital to your success. You have the opportunity to earn money in the freebie that you create, you have the opportunity to earn money when you send the 'thank you' email after a person has requested your freebie, and you have the opportunity to earn money every time an autoresponder message is sent out to that list in the future!

Don't waste those opportunities, and put it all in automatic mode with the use of an autoresponder.

Articles Are The Quickest Way To Your Customers Wallet

Write articles relating to your website and submit them to "free content" submission sites. Easy to do, takes little time and can increase your website traffic, sales and of course, your income.

How can article writing boost traffic and income?

The article on the free content site contains a link to your own website. Having them on the free content sites is also making these articles available to other webmasters who may wish to publish that article on their site.

So Many Affiliate Programs! Which One Do I Choose?

Ask questions first before you join an affiliate program. Most affiliate programs being offered today are absolutely free of charge.

When do they issue the commission checks?
Every program is different. Many affiliate programs are setting a minimum earned commission amount that an affiliate must meet or exceed in order for their checks to be issued.

What is the hit per sale ratio?
This is the average number of hits to a banner or text link it takes to generate a sale based on all affiliate statistics. Your choice of affiliate program should be capable of offering detailed stats. Constantly checking your individual stats is important to know how many impressions, hits and sales are already generated from your site.

Does the affiliate program also pay for the hits and impressions besides the commissions on sales? Is the affiliate a one tier or two tier program? A two tier program pays you for the business, plus it also pays you a commission on the on the sales generated by any affiliate you sponsor in your program. Some two-tier programs are even paying small fees on each new affiliate you sponsor. 5% - 20% is the commission paid by most programs. .01% - .05% is the amount paid for each hit. If you find a program that also pays for impressions, the amount paid is not much at all.

Try to ask your affiliate program choices these questions. These can help you select the right program for you site from among the many available.

PPC is one of the four basic types of Search Engines. Let us take a quick look at how PPC Search Engines work.

These engines create listings and rate them based on a bid amount the website owner is willing to pay for each click from that search engine. Advertisers bid against each other to receive higher ranking for a specific keyword or phrase.

How do you make money by using PPC into your affiliate marketing business?

Most affiliate programs only pay when a sale is made or a lead delivered after a visitor has clickthrough your site. The reason why you should incorporate PPC into your affiliate marketing program is that earnings are easier to make than in any other kind of affiliate program not using PPC. PPC can be very resourceful of your website.

With PPC Search Engines incorporated into your affiliate program, you will be able to profit from the visitor's who are not interested in your products or services. For example, when a visitor on your site does a search in the PPC Search Engine and clicks on the advertiser bided listings, the advertisers' account will then be deducted because of that click.

PPC is not only a source of generating easy profits; it can also help you promote your own site. What will happen if you when you integrate PPC into your affiliate program?

The most common tools are search boxes, banners, text links and some 404-error pages. Most search engines utilize custom solutions and can provide you with a white-label affiliate program. Best know more about how you can use PPC search engines into your affiliate program than miss out on a great opportunity to earn more profits.

Web Hosting and SEO - Search Engine Optimization

Executive summary about SEO web hosting by Jonathan James Aston

We have seen many organizations completely ignore Search Engine Optimization (SEO) when considering a hosting package, web hosting and SEO should be a key consideration in the selection process.

Country Specific Domain Names

If the majority of all of your customer base is located for example in the UK, then you should get hosting in the UK - get your own UK hosting here. However if your server is located in the US for example you can still localize your domain to improve rankings on Google UK search.

Staying on the example of serving a customer base largely or complete based in the UK using a TLD: .co.uk tells search engines that your are indeed based in the UK. Even having a .co.uk domain name and a server hosting your website in Germany or the US having that crucial .co.uk is a strong enough statement.

However don't be tricked into typing 'UK Web Hosting' into Google and going with the first result as some UK Web Hosting companies actually have servers based overseas and with the combination of a .com domain name your chanced of appearing in the Google UK search from the web and pages from the up is limited.

Avoid Cheap Web Hosting - consider both web hosting and seo ...

Again some webhosts that offer cheap hosting use a method where your domain is redirect to the back of another Website. This can cause problems with the search engines reaching your website and website content. I have also found that some cheap hosting providers host sites that have been banned from the search engines; this of course will have more than a negative effect on search engine rankings.

Avoid Hosting Multiple Domains on the Same Server

Search Engines may believe that the company hosting these multiple domains is attempting to artificially link together hence trying to manipulate search engine with the objective of increase rankings in the search engine results pages.

Email Marketing VS Social Media

Executive summary about email marketing by Keshav Patil

Today, along with emails and chats, several other online communication modes have evolved along with social networking sites. The huge popularity of social media gives evidence of the acceptance of social networking all across the Internet.

Online marketers providing search engine marketing services have started using the popularity to their aid.
They are using the social media as a powerful and potential tool for online marketing. Studies reveal that the participation of online users in social networking activities is 67% as against the email users that is 65%. The reason behind the success of social media marketing is their mode of approach.

Unlike email marketing which is targeted to a specific client or a list of clients, the messages posted in social media sites are open to the entire world. This gives them an edge over email marketing. Email marketing has an advantage in such scenarios.

Since email marketing services are directed towards a specific target audience, they stand a better chance of conversions. Another advantage which email marketing has over social media is the heavy traffic. These sites are overloaded with blogs, images, videos, messages, etc. and are always overcrowded.

Both social media and email marketing have their own advantages and disadvantages and marketers must combine both to make the most.

Top 10 Reasons to Have an Ezine

  1. Establish yourself as a trusted expert. People search online for information and will look to you to provide it to them. Every week (or whatever schedule you determine) provides an opportunity to build on this, while reinforcing your brand.
  2. Build a relationship with your list. It's common knowledge that people like to buy from people they like. By using ezines to connect with readers in their homes, you can develop a relationship of familiarity and trust. Be sure to share a little about yourself or your company in every issue, whether it be an anecdote, event, or employee spotlight.
  3. Keep in touch with prospects and clients. Consideration should be given to eventually developing two ezines: one for prospects and one for clients, as each require different information. This is a great way to remind your readers of weekly specials, updates to your FAQs, or new and improved products you will be launching, in addition to articles of interest.
  4. Drive traffic to your web site or blog. Call attention to new blog posts or other changes to your web site, with links directly to those pages. Remind readers of your online newsletter archives. Promote special sales (maybe with discount coupon codes only for subscribers) with a link to the sales page. Use links to turn your ezines and newsletters into "silent salespersons" – driving traffic to your web site and building your lists.
  5. Build content on your web site. Make a habit to adding your ezines and newsletters to your web site in an Archive area. This serves a few purposes.
    • Visitors can read an issue or two to determine if your ezine will be of interest to them, which will increase sign-ups and retention.
    • If you optimize your article placements, it will not only make your web site "meatier", but bring new traffic from the search engines.
  6. Get feedback from your readers. Make it easy for your prospects and customers to get in touch. Ask them to take action and comment on your articles. Conduct a survey. Start a "Letters to the Editor" column in your ezine. Feedback allows you to fine tune your message, improve your marketing, and expand your product line.
  7. Develop an information product. If you deliver your newsletter once a week and include two articles, at the end of a year you'll have 104 well-researched articles in your portfolio! Pick the best-of-the-best and turn them into a bonus ebook for opting-in to your list, submit to download sites to build your list, or sell in PDF-format!
  8. Grow your mailing list. Let your ezine subscribers work for you. Be sure to remind your readers that it's okay to forward your newsletter to anyone they'd like. In addition, it's important to include sign-up directions for those who received your ezine from viral marketing methods. A simple line titled, "Get Your Own Copy of XXXXXX", with a link to your squeeze or opt-in page is all it takes!
  9. Gather demographic data. By offering surveys, feedback forms, and niche reports, you'll be able to get valuable information about your prospects and customers. Learn what makes your readers tick, how to better serve them, and make sure they become repeat customers.
  10. Save money! All of the above benefits of publishing an ezine are free or almost free. The small cost for a top-rate ezine publishing system is nothing compared to the cost of brochures, business cards, advertising, direct mail, pay-per-click or other means of promotion. Because your newsletter is delivered online, you can grow your list to be as large as you want without worrying about the expense. Bottom line - it's been proven that email marketing is the most cost-effective solution for companies just like yours.

Top 15 Ways to Build Your Subscriber List

Email marketing can be profitable for any business, no matter what kind of product or service you are selling. It is significantly cheaper than other advertising methods and it helps build credibility with your subscribers. As a result, you can generate more sales and profits.

The foundation for successful email marketing is a targeted, responsive and permission-based email list. If you have a list of subscribers that trust you and consider you an expert, you've completed the first step and are on your way!

Below you will several list-building ideas that will help you make the most of your email marketing efforts:

  1. Provide useful, relevant and unique content. Your visitors will not give you their email addresses just because they can subscribe to your newsletter free of charge. You have to provide unique and valuable information that will be useful to your subscribers.
  2. Add a subscription form to every page of your website. Make sure it stands out so it is easy to find. If appropriate, you can also include it in more than one place. For instance, your opt-in form might always appear in the top-left corner of your site, while you also include an opt-in at the bottom of some of your popular articles.
  3. Make it easy for your reader to sign up. The more information you request, the fewer people will opt-in. In most cases, a name and an email address should suffice. If it's not necessary, don't include it here. (Note: If you don't have a Privacy Policy, put the words "privacy policy generator" into a search engine and you should be able to find a suitable form for your readers to review.
  4. Publish a Privacy Policy. Let your readers know that they can be confident you will not share their information with others. The easiest way to do this is to set up a Privacy Policy web page and provide the link to it below your opt-in form.
  5. Show your first issue or other sample to your visitors. This lets potential subscribers review your newsletter before they sign up to determine if it is something they'd be interested in.
  6. Archive past newsletter issues. A "library" of past newsletters is both appealing and useful to visitors and builds your credibility as an authority. In addition, if your articles are written with good SEO techniques in mind, they can send additional traffic to your web site through good search engine positioning.
  7. Contact other newsletter publishers. Introduce yourself and explore ways you may be able to help each other. Perhaps you can introduce other publisher's newsletters or print articles they have written to your list, with a link to sign up. When you contact them, be sure to tell them why you think THEIR readers would like what you have to offer and why YOUR readers would benefit from their newsletters. This is a win-win scenario; both of you will build your lists faster!
  8. Give away bonuses subscribers can use. Create an opt-in bonus for joining your subscriber list. You can write an ebook or PDF report, or even hire a programmer to create downloadable or web-based software. But don't limit yourself to only a gift for new opt-ins. Remind your readers that the next bonus is coming soon. People hate to miss out on things. If you systematically pass on "goodies" throughout the year, your subscribers are unlikely to leave.
  9. Ask your subscribers to pass it on. Word of mouth is a powerful viral technique that works great with email marketing. If your subscribers find the content you share with them to be informative, they will pass your newsletter on to their friends. This can be a good source of new subscribers.
  10. Let others reprint your newsletter as long as the content is not modified. Many webmasters and newsletter publishers are actively looking for high-quality content and, if they reprint your newsletter, you will get new subscribers, traffic and links pointing to your site.
  11. Include a "Sign Up" button in the newsletter. If you are using plain text instead of HTML, provide a text link to your subscription page. You may feel that this is not required because the subscriber is already on your list, but remember that readers will forward your newsletters to others, or reprint it online. You want to make it easy for them to subscribe.
  12. Add a squeeze page. A squeeze page has one goal - to get an opt-in and build your list. Think of it like a mini-sales letter for your subscription or opt-in bonus. It features a powerful headline and a couple of very important benefits that should make subscribers salivate to sign up to your list. Once created, use a service such as WordTracker to find hundreds of targeted keywords, and advertise there using pay-per-click advertising from Google, MSN and Yahoo.
  13. Include testimonials on your squeeze page. This is crucial. Put 1 or 2 strong testimonials from satisfied subscribers on your squeeze page. This can be in any format, but you may find that multimedia (audio or video social proof) is more "believable". To increase that believability, include full names, locations and/or urls; don't use "Bob K, FL" as a testimonial name.
  14. Blog religiously. Blogging is a great way to communicate with your potential customers, and it creates a nice synergy with your email marketing. Be sure to include your newsletter sign-up form on each page of your blog. You can start a free blog at Blogger or Wordpress.
  15. Post on other blogs. Post great comments and information on similar blogs with a link to your squeeze or opt-in page. Also comment on others' blogs through trackbacks. In most cases, your comments will be posted on their blogs with a link back to your site. This is an easy way to generate new traffic and subscribers.

Tips For Earning a Residual Income For Financial Freedom

Executive summary about residual income by Louis Charles Martel

Residual income is an ongoing stream of financial returns paid to the producers, creators or owners of a specific entity of work. Anyone can earn a residual income but the value of the revenue stream depends on how successful your product is.

Royalty payments are the most recognized form of residual income earnings. For example, JK Rowling will earn a payment from every copy of Harry Potter that is ever sold. Each book is a completed body of work but JK Rowling potentially stands to earn royalties from that finished work beyond the foreseeable future.

Authors are not the only people to earn these types of royalty payments, musicians and actors also earn residual income in a similar way. Every Elvis track downloaded on iTunes earns him a payment.

Elvis as an actor earns a royalty payment each time one of his movies is rerun on cable television. Elvis the icon continues to earn residual income for the use of his image or name for memorabilia or branding purposes. Elvis is dead but his residual income is continually paid to the owners of his estate.

Inventors who own the patent of their creations can also earn substantial royalty payments. Where Robert Kearns's patented invention is still applied in new cars, he continues to earn from that single flash of genius.

Today there are new ways to earn fantastic residual income. The way to earn money from the site is to monetize it with advertising.
