SENDS, Science Enhanced Networked Domains and Secure Social Spaces is an effort to know… to see…and to ask questions about how Cyberspace works. To answer these questions, we need… a Science of Cyberspace. We can supply this need to know at the SENDS Center for the Science of Cyberspace. In this virtual Center we will study, share and discover new opportunities to maximize and secure cyberspace. We will assemble virtually…to seek shared meaning and new insights. It is an effort to comprehend how people interact, and can prosper in a secure way within this remarkable environment. The underlying interactions of the massive numbers of exchanges within cyberspace create complexities that transcend our current abilities to adapt, leverage and secure the networked environments upon which we so critically rely. How do we begin to understand, the consequences of such massive interconnectivity? In this deeply interconnecting and complex environment, how do we make sense of the role that people play? What are the effects of this interconnectivity to our national and global security and prosperity? As humans, we want to visualize the possibilities… about what happens when everything connects to everything…when everyone connects to everyone.
