Article by Michael Ogden

1. Each time you make a sale, follow-up with the customer. You could follow-up with a “thank you” note saying when you will deliver and include an advertisement for other products you sell. In 9 years, this multiplied our sales from Day 1. People like beingthanked and like to have a contact with you, so include your telephone number

2. We sell by catalogue so we tell customers about new products when we deliver the products or have a sample to give them or demonstrate.

3. Tell your customers if they refer five prospects, you will give them a voucher off this purchase.

4. When you sell a product, give your customers the option of joining you as a distributor so they can buy the products wholesale This will multiply the sale you just made.

5. You could cross promote your product with other businesses’ products in a package deal. You can include an ad or flyer for other products you sell and have other businesses selling for you.

6. When you deliver your product, include a coupon for other related products you sell in the package. This will attract them to buy more products from you.

7. Send your customers a catalogue of add-on products for the original product they purchased. This could be upgrades, special services, attachments, etc. If they enjoy your product they will buy the extra add-ons.

8. Send your customers free products with their product package. Say it was the highest order that week. The freebies should have your ad printed on them. It could be a free pen or a piece of consumable product. This will allow other people to see your ad or product and order.

Increase Your Chances of Business Success

Article by Heather Trimmer

The thing about starting a business…any business…..is that there is no guarantee of success under any circumstances. The main difference between failure and success does not hinge on whether or not you make mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes. The defining difference is those who succeed learn from the mistakes and don’t repeat them. They turn the mistake around, and learn a valuable lesson. Those who fail simply make a mistake, throw up their hands, and quit.

Even big international businesses can fail at new business ventures. Failure is always an option but the possibility of success can be optimized. In addition to the simplicity of learning from your mistakes and moving forward into greater success, I have three key components that can help you on your journey to online success.

You can optimize the possibility of success by:

1. Having a good solid business plan in place BEFORE you launch your online business. There is an old saying: “Those who fail to plan, plan to fail”. A detailed set of plans for success needs to be made. Begin with a simple word map that you can create with paper and pencil. What are your top three goals, what is you unique selling point. And be sure to include a few of your life dreams.

Next, you need to have the steps from getting from point A to point B listed in detail that include realistic cost estimates for accomplishing each step. Without vision and a plan, you won’t get very far in business, online or off. With your flexible plan in place, you are better equipped to make decisions about what systems to set up and how to best educate yourself, rather than grasping at every shooting star that comes your way.

2. Expect to work hard to accomplish your goals. Initially, you must never expect anything to be easy. You will be right most of the time because things are rarely as easy as they look. Each step toward success requires work, time and patience. Sometimes things don’t work out right on the first try. Prepare yourself to preserver until you do succeed.

However, if you have a plan in place, and are willing to do some research, you can fine tune the process to make things easier on yourself as you move forward in your online journey. There is certainly something to the saying “Work smarter, not harder.” Balance between the two is essential. Knowing when to work harder and when to work smarter will get you far in this world, while maintaining your sanity.

3.Wise up concerning the ‘get-rich-quick’ schemes. The internet jungle is full of people who prey upon those who are looking for quick and easy ways to become rich. Those ways do not exist. Get over thinking that there is an easy way. There is NOT. If you ignore the constant bombardment of these online loons, and focus on legitimate business building strategies out there, you will stay on track for success.

Keep in mind these statistics! Ninety percent of all new internet businesses fail in the first 120 days. You don’t have to be part of that majority. You can become a part of that 10% minority of successful internet business enterprises. Be ready to Move Forward towards your goals.
