How To Create A Vibrant Business Within The Booming Internet Marketing Niche

Article by Smith Frasier

Take a look around the broad internet marketing niche and a few things become

abundantly clear…

First, there are some very odd yet colourful characters within it – toddlers, santa

clause look-alikes, would be hobo’s…the list stretches on for miles, and personally I

think that’s really wonderful. It proves that just about anyone can be a part of this

vibrant industry.

Second, it seems that anyone who truly applies themselves and understands the

mechanics of online business can create a financial empire within this busy niche.

Without naming names, very ordinary people from former bouncers to ex car salesmen

have generated wealth that’s right up there with the likes of some tv celebrities. Get

it right in internet marketing, and you’ll not want for anything.

Finally and most importantly, this is a niche on the up in the most explosive of ways.

It’s very clear why this is – absolutely everyone is heading online, from the

individual blogger writing about their favourite sports team right up to corporate

giants with very clear and focused online agendas. And, these millions of entities all

require online marketing products and services, from auto-responders and hosting to

marketing courses & software.

Consequently, the price for many of these marketing products have continued to shoot

upwards – making a lot of marketing product & service providers and their affiliates

very wealthy in the process (I’m talking about elite products here, not the junk that

some people cannot even give away).

The thing is, because the internet evolves faster than any other niche I’ve ever seen,

there is a constant demand for new products and services to attend to the new

challenges and opportunities that online business & IM throws up. The end result? Even

more courses, and software, and services – whether this is a good or bad thing one

thing’s for certain – the trend is going to keep on going for a long time into the

future. In fact, according to my crystal ball, internet marketing as a niche hasn’t

nearly started to bubble as much as it will over the next decade. Now’s the time to

hitch this particular ride…

This is a very good thing for affiliates and product/service developers within this

aggressive industry. Before we look at that though, take a look at a couple of

examples at how the IM and ecommerce niche has made some ordinary people some

extraordinary wealth:

1. Paypal – Yes, It’s A Faceless Ebay Owner Corporation Today, But It Started Out As A

Work In Progress In A Creaky Old Garage By 2 Ordinary People…

In 1998, when the IM community was still a fledgling, and when marketers like Joe

Vitale and Yanik Silver had just started to peddle ebooks, Paypal was conceived and

formed. With hindsight, Paypal was the sort of service that was bound to succeed as

soon as ecommerce hit the mainstream, but the 2 founders (Max Levchin & Peter Thiel)

went through a lot of challenges before finally selling the company to ebay for over

1.5 billion dollars.

2. Willie Crawford – A Million Bucks In 90 Days…

While I’ve never met Willie in person, I’ve chatted with him through email and he’s a

real gent and an admirable character. To show you the type of return this fellow gets,

a while ago he was targeting an income of one million dollars in just 90 days. In case

you’re wondering what one of his biggest and most simple strategies to get success

online has been…article marketing is the answer. In fact, he was the one marketer who

really brought article marketing to the masses. He of course tried to drive home the

point that article marketing should always be about publishing quality content that

you’d be proud to put your name to (because of course it’s the only way any article

would ever generate any real publicity, and the author any credibility).

Unfortunately, thousands of idiots apparently didn’t read this part and proceeded to

spam the directories with nonsensical piffle of the highest order, which did little

other than annoy a lot of people and brand the author as a bit of a pratt.

What about the actual products and services? This is where it gets even more

interesting – we already saw how the demand for IM and ecommerce products & services

have risen considerably as the internet has begun to reach even the most remote

corners of the world. This, apparently, has led to the price of unique products &

services with high perceived value to go through the roof. Look, I’m not talking about

some of the garbage products out there that you see in giveaways or as newsletter

freebies (aside from my one) – I’m talking about big ticket products/services that

have been developed to meet very specific marketplace requirements.

For example, Memberspeed (a very good membership site script engine) costs over 2k to

own, and in my opinion we’ve also seen a lot of very ordinary products/course launched

within internet marketing recently that have SOLD OUT at extraordinary prices. When

you see this type of thing happen, it’s a very clear sign of a vibrant and thirsty

marketplace.

Just recently, Frank Kerns Mass Control was launched with a 2k price tag, and Mike

Filsaimes Traffic Fusion cost about 1.5k plus a monthly payment for the honour of

using it. Mass Control from what I could tell was basic psychology applied to making a

sales pitch, and TF could mostly be created by anyone with a sound knowledge of php.

Are these products really worth these huge price tags? Actually, despite the fact that

I would never recommend them to my own list, the fact that they both sold out tells us

2 things – one, they have been priced and marketed to perfection (as the demand met

the supply) and two, the internet marketing niche is clearly one that is well worth

being part of.

And, this is exactly where you come into the picture – if you’re looking to begin (or

expand) your niche marketing career, internet marketing & traffic generation is one of

the best niches you can get into with a ten year view. It’s really started to gather

pace, and the more I look, the more I see BIGGER affiliate commissions, BIGGER adsense

yields, BIGGER pay per leads – and as more and more people come online and look to get

a bigger share of traffic, this trend is all set to continue. If you’re not part of it

yet perhaps this is the time to get involved.
